What You Need to Know About Setting Up A Next-Gen Ford Ranger

In February 2022, Ford unveiled the next-generation Ranger Raptor, which has since become the talk of the town. Compared to the regular Ranger, not much has changed at the back. The new components include a towbar and a Precision Grey rear bumper with an integrated step pad. The towbar is concealed high up, so it won’t affect the departure angle. Significantly, two tow hooks are also included, each in the front and back.

Fewer Buttons, More Capability

Many traditional driving mode controls have been relocated from the dash and center console to their dedicated SYNC screen display.

This three-liter turbocharged engine is the same engine that powers the Explorer ST and the recently unveiled Bronco Raptor. It will produce 362 pound-feet of torque and 284 horsepower. This is considerably less than the Explorer ST’s 400 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque. Although the Bronco Raptor’s figures haven’t been released, anticipate them to fall somewhere between these two, higher than the Ranger Raptor but lower than the Explorer ST.

Significantly, Ford has used what is known as an anti-lag system. After the driver releases the gas pedal, the system keeps the turbochargers running for up to three seconds.
